Cake Decorating Magazine, May/June 1974

Cake Decorating Magazine, May/June 1974
These citrus slices are kind-of cool, but in a food-coloring overkill sort of way. I have always wanted to learn this craft--art in icing.

sun cake

teapot cake

grad cakes

fish cake

dad cakes

Castle cake
I would have killed for this as a kid. Now it just looks like too much sugar.

Hi, Barbara
Cake decorating can be fun. A couple of years ago I took two decorating courses at Michael's. Of course, I ended up purchasing all the supplies that come along with it. It's not one of my strong hobbies, but it was fun to learn and decorate a cake on occasion.

You know I love cool cake decorating! I really liked the cacti on the father's day cake....I'm guessing it was done in royal icing with a really big and notchy type tip! thanks for your sweet comment on my blog! :)
