Ooh, finally a banner with color!
Oh my gosh, I've almost got it right. This is huge. Thank you soooo much to Pink Rocket for explaining to me how to place a photo in my header. Huge project, but I still don't have the box aligned correctly--does anyone know how to fix this? Thank you to Red Current for posting about changing font color, and My House is Cuter than Yours for showing me how to place a photo underneath my banner (which I like also). Is there any way of specifying where on a photo you'd like the box to focus? I'd love to have the doggie face back in this photo. But the flowers are cool too. I'm just stoked to be learning about html. For a girl who used to be afraid of the mouse, this is a big deal.

Yea! Looks great! You can play around with the the description (that's right under the header space), border and padding, to get your box to sit correctly. It should work!

I'm not a template genious, but one way to learn about coding is to either check out the help section on blogger or download a skin and check out the coding via there (such as Blog Skins or my personal favorite Ehsany.com).
