Should I????
I want to ask those people that know me well if I should cut my nearly waist-length hair to something like this style (that's the lovely Kate Walsh from Private Practice)

I don't "know" you but I say cut it, it's only hair if you don't like it tie it back in a pony tail until it grows out.
I know it's only hair and it will grow back, but it has become more like a part of my identity. Too, it took so much time to get this long. It's so hard to part with it, though logically I know it would frame my face better if it were shorter. This cut seems a happy medium--still long but more of a style.
When I cut my waist length hair a few months ago, I was happy to donate it to locks of love. But in all honesty I hated not having my long hair. I grew it for so long that it was a part of who I was. Then again, I pretty much hate change and maybe get stuck in ruts.
Not much help or input is it? The haircut you show is still long, so I guess I would say, be brave and take a chance. I think this particular hairstyle would look very pretty on you.
I would cut it...
A new style could be just what you need...
I think you should go for it! I think it will take some getting used to for you, but I think change is good!
See you soon!
Barb, with your curls, you have to realize that it won't look exactly like this. Just be objective. I think your hair is beautiful and you look really fresh and young!
I went from an at-the-shoulder-blade length (for 10 years) to an above-shoulder-length cut just before last summer, and it was strange, but I like it.
After the move to Seattle, I'll update my blog photo.
Go for it!
