Two Mother-Daughter aprons

Either one of these patterns would be perfect for this month's Tie One On challenge--"mini me". I don't have a daughter, but I can make one for a friend's little girl. It might be fun for her to help in the kitchen when she gets older. Hmmm...yep, that's the plan. I haven't decided the color or style yet. So Jen, will Callie wear this? Or I guess I could make it like an art apron versus a baking one, with a place for crayons, etc. What do you think?
