Topsy Turvy
I had intended to post about my topsy-turvy doll anyway, but it was ironic that Amy of Angry Chicken recently posted about these dolls also. See her post here.
I just pulled her out of storage, so she's a bit dirty, but still in good shape. My parents bought her in Louisiana in the early 60's. She's a white girl on one side, then flip her upside down, and she's a Mammy.
I always liked the Mammy side the best.

oh wow how un-PC....
I HAD one that was little red riding hood on one side and the big bad wwolf on the other... (I think. Notice the HAD in all caps.)
I don't think we would be able to have one like that here, unless we made it ourselves - it wouldn't be politically correct! I knitted one for my niece, but it was Cinderella, rags on one side and ballgown on the other, she called it 'pocket', I don't know why!
Oh how cute! I can't imagine how difficult it would be to actually make something like that. As for being politically incorrect - BAHHHH! Kids never even gave that thought when they played with golliwogs etc. back then. What a shame we have to grow up and lose that innocence.
