My fair lady
I noticed that I have a ton of ladybugs on my asparagus plants.
Plain red ones, and red ones with black spots.
I wondered, hmmmm, are they after some kind of pest?
Is my asparagus infested with something?
I noticed a bunch of ugly bugs.
My initial reaction was uh-oh, then I did an internet search, and turns out the uglies are ladybug larvae.
How bizarre.
But I'm glad to have them.

Hi Barb,
yes, usually ladybug larvae (just as their parents) are after aphids, and the larvae are said to eat three times the amount their parents can. So it's fairly good to have them around in your garden. This might also mean that there had been quite some aphids you hadn't noticed yet; anyway, the ladybugs did take care of them ;-)
Good luck with your garden!
Cheers,
Claudia
