Oh well...
The winners were announced for the Amy Butler contest today.
See results at the Chronicle Books site.
One of my favorites was in the top six (one winner and five runners up).
Mine was not, sadly, in the top.
I know I'll come off spoiled and whiny here, but I am really disappointed.
And I'm disappointed for a few other participants who had a high degree of difficulty that wasn't acknowledged.
I think I'm done with swaps and contests.

No, no, no, no, no!!!!!!!!! Don't give up on future contests, what if the next one is the winner for you? You are way too talented to end this part of your creativity. The girls and I think you were the winner anyway. Keep on keeping on....
Sorry you didn't win. I don't agree with many of the winners. I thought there were many more better-made examples and cleverer examples but in the end it is up to Ms. Butler, I s'pose. Your bag was a winner in my book.
No! You have to trust your craft, which is so bright, and clever and constantly on a voyage of discovery.
Judges and decision-makers can disappoint you, but they should never control you.
I'm so sorry Barbara, what you made was so creative and truely beautiful. No people see things the same way and sadly the judging reflected this. You have a real talent. I love the way you share your ideas and encourage other people to try things. I would never have dreamed of the "Bag of Water" without your challenge. Please don't be so hard on yourself. Hugs.
