Look who showed up
Somebody dumped this little girl at my mom's house last week. She was skinny and filthy and famished. She's a little shy, but hopefully she'll come around. She came to the right house. Two days later, her brother appeared.
This is the SWEETEST little boy. He purrs constantly. He showed up skin and bones and filthy dirty, and so small you had to pet him with your index finger. Now he's growing like a weed, and has a big round tummy. I plan to make him my own inside kitty (yeah, three cats...like I'll ever find an apartment).

What a great story!
Such beautiful kittys!
I had to rescue a one-week old kitty last week. Somebody had left her out to die in the tropical sun. Her eyes were glued shut and she had cat flu. She's thriving at my vet's, being nursed back to health right now.
I think people who throw animals away like so much trash should be shot.
I just found your blog and will be checking in regularly.
Forgot to add....I also L-O-V-E Sundance.
I'm pretty sure there's a special level of hell just for those types of people. Some friends got their pair of kitties in almost the exact same way...so glad you and your mom were there.
Thanks Diane! Please do check back. Do you have a blog also?
And thanks to all of you for your comments and support.
Oh what sweet little kitty faces!
Very sweet!
I'm so glad the kitties found you and your mom. And I'm sure they are, too.
My husband had a little ferile calico appear on his doorstep in a snow storm and she turned out to be the best buddy a guy could hope for. Who says guys can't love cats?
I look forward to seeing lots more pictures of these guys as they grow up.
Your girl looks *just* like my Chekhov!

I echo Marita's comment about shooting people that abandon animals. I have been a member of the RSPCA in Australia for about 30 years and I still shed tears over their quarterly newsletter when they write up articles about cruelty to animals. Barb these two dear little furbabies are just adorable - who needs an apartment when you can have lots of kitties instead??!!
KITTEHS!!!
It fills me with fear when I realize how much animals are at the mercy of our good behavior. They have no choice, and to me it's terrifying. There are good people, like those assembled here, but there are also those who see animals as objects: if they're ignored nothing will happen to them or better yet, they'll just disappear.
Animal cruelty laws just don't go far enough!
oh my gosh they are the most adorable kittens everrrrrrrrrr.
Awww! What darling babies!! My Ivan says "meow!" :)
