Share a Past Project
Old old pic of my first ever cross-stitch project.
Pre-scanner, so sorry it's not a more detailed photo.

I stitched a rooster onto gingham (inherent grid!) and then used it to embellish a dish towel.
Same idea, but on a strip of gingham, and these are ducks.

These are very cute. Love those ducks. I wish I had the patience and talent for hand stitching.
OH MY G-D I have a crocheted towel set that my great-grandmother made that is that color orange...
(She crocheted a basket onto the towel & then crocheted a border onto the wash cloth and then tucked the wash cloth into the basket. Yes I OWN both parts...)
How long ago did you make those? They look "vintage"! :)
P.S. I haven't forgotten your request for my "tie chair." I'll try to post it soon. I'm playing catch up at work after the holidays.
Wow! I love them! Wish I had patience to make something like that. :)
Hi Heidi,
Um, I hesitate to say because it makes me appear old, and I don't think I look or act old...
but I made them in the 80's.
I still can't get your email addy to work...
What a smart idea to use gingham to embroider on by using the grid on the gingham!
I posted my towel today....
