Jacket made from towels

Really fun vintage pattern I bought on ebay.
I love sewing with towels. This jacket is constructed using bath towels.
One auction was already completed (I so wish I would have seen it earlier), it came with the pattern AND vintage chenille towels (drool....)

Ummm, have you finished the child's dress project for your class yet? I ask because I can't wait to see how it turned out -- I've enjoyed reading about your classes and envy you them! I'm at the point with my own sewing that I need to either find some wonderful class to take somewhere ("determined but not quite intermediate" level?) or stop being overly ambitious with the patterns I choose, since clearly I know only enough to be dangerous (to the innocent fabric)....
oh my! My mom had the bathrobe version of this! What a blast from the past.
I really like the style of this jacket - so cool that it is from towels!! Your necktie eggs came out great, I have a whole box of my dad's old neckties somewhere, maybe I can try that next year when I find them :)
