It's Frickin' Hot Here!

It's Frickin' Hot Here!
It's grossly hot here. I live in the east county, so the average temp is in the 90's right now--not too comfortable without A/C. I grew up here, and I remember summer being dry and yummy, not the humid tropical stuff we have experienced recently. Humidity has reached saturation at times, and we get big water droplets, thunder, and lightning. I like the storm part, but not the sticky icky heat part. Here is my poor black kitty, Terry, trying to cool off. He climbs into the refrig every time the door is opened.

Hi Barb -
Poor kitty! Poor you...
Poor me SOON!
We're coming back to San Diego July 31st and will stay for 6 months or so...
It would be great to meet up w/you!

I've missed your site - I have alot of catching up to do.
LOVE the wrap around dress patterns.
Are you going to make one?
That's great that you can sew.
Not one of my fortes. I still have home ec nightmares...I stayed after school for HOURS making a peasant top and red denim elastic waist elephant pants...scary stuff...
Stay cool (try!).
Take care,
Sue D.

Just got back from Laughlin, NV - where the temperature averaged 112 degrees. Walking to the car was like the Bataan Death March. Stupidly hot. Here in L.A. we're averaging 90 degrees which is practically BALMY.

Oh - and poor kitteh!

Gosh, the Greenhouse Effect seems to have taken hold over there in the USA, going by all the American blogs I read. In contrast, it is the coldest winter we have had in Melbourne for many years. That is such a cute photo of your beautiful Black Cat! Our own Black Cat is curled up on 'her' chair near the gas fire, her favorite spot on a winter's night.

I love this photo! I wish my black kitty would stay in the room with the A/C, she will just cook in the sun beam, panting! I have to move her manually before she melts!

Oh poor kitty! We've been having the same weather here in NorCal - and our fridge broke!!! No sitting in the fridge for my big kitty. I had to give her a sandwich bag filled with ice to cuddle. Woe is us in this heat!
